Cost is $15 per person. Lunch and childcare is included. \nSt. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Parish in Raleigh will host Family Honor’s truly unique program\, Leading & Loving\, for parents of young children\, newborn through 5th grade. \nParents will be empowered to be strong role models in teaching their children the answers to life’s most important questions\, like “Who am I?” and “What is my life for?” We will discuss ideas on being a good role model\, look at how the virtue of chastity is developed in our children\, and help parents answer some of their children’s challenging questions – all while cultivating Catholic virtues and values. \nLeading & Loving will be presented on three consecutive Sundays (January 7th\, 14th and 21st) from noon to 2 pm. \nRegistration is $15 per person. DESCRIPTION:Do you want to learn about Catholic teachings about sexuality\, love\, marriage\, parenting and family\, and how to express them to others? \nThen join us for Family Honor’s 12-hour course for adults\, “Understanding the Human Person\,” at St. Joseph parish in Raleigh on February 23 and 24\, 2024. \nPresenters will challenge the world’s perception that Christianity\, and in particu­lar the Catholic Faith\, is opposed to human love and sexuality from the perspectives of reason and faith\, using Sacred Scripture\, Tradition and natural law. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and engage in classroom activities with other students. \nTopics include the Roots of the Sexual Revolution\, Fertility Appreciation\, Child development and the Importance of Family\, Male-female Complementarity\, the Theology of the Body\, Gender identity and Gender confusion\, and more. \nThere will be approximately 12 hours of instruction. Dinner on Friday night and lunch on Saturday are included in the course fee of $150\, along with books and materials. Participation will be limited to 25 students in each session.
