Real Love & Real Life

REAL LOVE, REAL LIFE PROGRAM
7th & 8th grade Parent & Child Program
Friday, March 13th, 6:30pm-9pm
Saturday, March 14th, 9am-3pm
*Snacks & lunch provided*
Family Honor will present Real Love & Real Life, designed for parents with their 7th or 8th grade child, at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic School Media Center. This program helps parents and teens be better prepared to speak with each other calmly about purity, sex, real love, future dating, and some of the ‘hot button’ issues in our culture.
Real Love & Real Life builds a bridge for parents and adolescents to talk about love, life, God’s gift of sexuality, true worth, future dating and lots more. The first session is for parents only and will equip parents to talk about some of the hot button issues in our culture, including gender dysphoria, pornography, same sex attraction, comprehensive sex education and God’s plan for sexual intimacy. A portion of the Saturday session includes a parent-teen fertility presentation with Q&A, divided by gender to protect modesty.
Cost is $50 per family and lunch is included on Saturday. The program is fun, interactive and informative and guaranteed to strengthen the bond between parent and teen.
Topics include:
- True Worth vs. Self Esteem
- Christ-like Love
- Intro to Theology of the Body
- Fertility Appreciation
- Healthy Communication in the Family
- Developing as a Whole Person
- Future Dating
