5th & 6th grade Parent & Child Program

Changes & Challenges is designed for parents and preteens to connect and communicate about God’s gift of sexuality, chastity, fertility appreciation, true worth and lots more. It offers parents the opportunity to learn more about the changes taking place in their pre teen’s life, especially the physical changes they are experiencing.

Family Honor, Inc., will be hosting a truly unique chastity program for families on February 20 and 21 at St. Mary Magdalene School in Apex, NC. Changes & Challenges is designed for parents and preteens to connect and communicate about God’s gift of sexuality, chastity, fertility appreciation, true worth and lots more. A recent participating parent shared, “It’s a straightforward approach to sexuality, involving the whole person.”

Changes & Challenges picks up where Family Honor’s foundational program Leading & Loving leaves off, presenting parents the opportunity to learn more about the changes taking place in their pre teen’s life, as well as the physical changes they are experiencing. This program opens the door to dialog between parents and their pre-teens on these important life issues, offering parents the guidance and tools to connect with their son or daughter during this beautiful time of their life.

Topics covered at the sessions include:

Parent-only session:
• Understanding the changes and challenges of puberty for your child
• Tips and tools for keep balance in your family
• Raising your child to be happy, healthy and holy

Parent-child session:
• The SPICE of life—Spiritual, Physical, Intellectual, Creative and Emotional changes
• Muscles for Life (boys) Virtuous Violet (girls) – virtues to last a lifetime
• Fertility appreciation, conception and fetal development
